As a home lover I do love a bit of online shopping, and living in the sticks, as we do, I find it indispensable.

Here’s a little round up of what I have bought this week…

1. Daffodils

Daffodils by post….of course you can pick these up from the local green grocer, or even pick them from your own garden (although I always feel I want to leave my daffs in place to enjoy) but its lovely to get some slightly more unusual varieties which Fentogollan Farms offer.

2. CBD Bitters

Love these bitters from Otto. Infused with CBD they make a great alternative to alcohol and taste just like Angostura bitters in our opinion. A few splashes in a glass of tonic water or sparkling mineral water makes a great mid week wind-down. Expensive, yes, but our last bottle lasted months… glass for glass much less expensive than wine.

3. The Secret of Cooking by Bee Wilson

This is a great book for food lovers and people who like to cook. That may sound a bit glib, but then so many books are for busy families, or the time stretched. This book is for people, like me, who think about food all day, ponder over the small differences between one method or another, the nuances of seasonings or or simply like reading about food. Written in a beautiful notebook kind of style , a bit like Nigel Slater’s The Kitchen Diaries, with musings, tips and information, Bee’s writing is warm, articulate and inspiring, yet all totally achievable.

4. Pure EPA and CoQ10

I can’t live with out Pharmepa Restore and I’ve been taking it for years. It restores omega-3 levels to balance omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, supporting mood, brain function and heart health. Also CoQ10, another vital tool in the box for mind, heart and energy levels.

4. Microgreens Kit

Love these.. so easy to grow on the window sill all year round. Don’t be fooled by their tiny size, these small immature shoots are jam packed with nutrients… and they look really pretty too sprinkled on soups, salads or anything really.

6. Bamboo Diffuser Sticks

I bought these bamboo sticks as I am experimenting with making my own room diffuser with Sweet Almond Oil and essential oils….I’ll keep you posted on my success… or failure…

7. Ebay disaster…

Oh dear… bought a job lot of antique stoneware bottles on Ebay…. all arrived broken. Not all online purchases are successful…
